Plant perimeter and boundary intrusion on existing CCTV
· Updated · Slinai
Key facts
| What it measures | Fence crossing, gate tailgate, unauthorised vehicle, yard loiter, after-hours approach |
|---|---|
| Keep armed | Fence line and chemical or raw-material yard, including during the shift |
| Schedule | People gate off during shift change; goods gate by delivery window |
| What it does not do | Replace a guard, a gas detector, or the machine keep-out on the floor |
| Product | Video alarms — line crossing and restricted zones, clip before dispatch |
A guard at the main gate does not see the fence. The breach you care about is the one that never used the turnstile.
Slinai runs boundary rules on existing CCTV under physical security. Draw the line with perimeter and restricted zones and arm the off-shift window with after-hours intrusion. Hub: manufacturing video analytics.

Gate, fence, and yard are three rules
| Boundary | When it should fire | When it should not |
|---|---|---|
| Fence line | A person or vehicle crosses, day or night | Wind on a bush, if UAT still shows that false alarm |
| People gate | Off-shift approach, or two people on one badge cycle | The 6:00 and 14:00 shift surge |
| Goods gate | A vehicle outside the delivery window, or a person riding in on a truck | A scheduled tanker the gate already expected |
| Chemical or raw yard | Loiter or entry with no escort window | A forklift on a known path you marked as allowed |
AI-filtered alerts matter here. A fence camera that pages security for every headlight will be muted by Friday.

Who gets the clip
- Security who can reach that gate, not the production WhatsApp group.
- Name the boundary and the minute. Do not guess a name from a dark frame.
- During shift change, expect the people gate to be noisy if you left it armed. That is a schedule bug.
- A chemical-yard alert is still a security clip. It is not a gas reading and it is not a floor PPE miss.
Agentic question that fits: “Any boundary alerts at Plant 2 after 22:00?” If the answer is a helmet miss inside the building, the zones are mixed up.

What this is not
- Not machine proximity. That polygon is around the machine, after the person is inside.
- Not PPE. The fence does not check helmets.
- Not retail after-hours loss prevention or dark-store night doors. A shop shutter and a cage are different sites.
- Not a guard-replacement programme. The clip shortens the walk. Someone still walks.
Book a demo on the goods gate and one fence camera that already points at a corner guards do not walk every hour.
Common questions
Is this the machine keep-out on the floor?
No. Machine proximity is a polygon around a press or robot inside the plant. This post is the fence, the vehicle gate, the people gate, and the yard before anyone reaches that floor.
Will shift change look like an intrusion?
It will if the people gate is armed at 6:00. Schedule the employee gate for off-shift. Leave the fence line and the chemical yard armed.
Does this replace guards?
No. Guards still respond. The clip tells them which gate, so they are not walking the whole fence on a timer.
Is this a retail or dark-store night alarm?
No. Those are a shop door or a cage inside a fulfilment site. A plant has a yard, a goods gate, and hazardous storage outside the building.
Do we identify the person?
No. Zone and behaviour only. Facial recognition is off by default. Badge identity stays on your access system.
