Terms of Use

1. The services

Slinai provides software that analyses video from cameras the customer already owns, plus related dashboards, alerts, and APIs. Features, detections, and availability may change. A signed order, quote, or online plan (including the published pricing page) may add commercial terms that prevail over these website Terms if they conflict.

2. Accounts

• Provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your accounts, including your staff's use.
• Notify us promptly of unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the site or services to:

• Violate law, third-party rights, or workplace/privacy notices you owe to staff or visitors.
• Enable biometric identification or facial recognition unless that capability is contracted in writing and you have a lawful basis.
• Probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform except as allowed by mandatory law.
• Upload malware or attempt to access other customers' tenants.
• Resell the service without our written consent.

4. Customer responsibilities (video)

You own or have rights to the cameras and footage you connect. You are the Data Fiduciary for that monitoring. You must provide required notices (signage, policies, employment terms) and configure zones, retention, and access so processing stays purpose-limited. We process that video on your instructions as described in the DPA.

5. Fees

Paid plans are billed as stated on the order or pricing page (typically per camera / month in INR, plus taxes). Free trials, if offered, are limited as described. Overdue amounts may lead to suspension. Refunds are only as stated in an order or required by law.

6. Intellectual property

The site, software, models, documentation, and Slinai marks are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the services during your subscription. You retain rights in your footage and your operational data. We may use anonymised, aggregated usage statistics to operate and improve the platform.

7. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's non-public business and technical information confidential and use it only to perform the contract, except for information that is public, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Video analytics can miss events or raise false alerts; it does not replace trained security, safety, or loss-prevention staff. To the extent permitted by Indian law, Slinai is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the services in the twelve months before the claim (or INR 10,000 if you only used the free website or an unpaid trial).

9. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your footage, your monitoring of staff or visitors, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of privacy or employment law.

10. Term, suspension, force majeure

Either party may end a paid subscription as the order allows (or on 30 days' notice if the order is silent). We may suspend access for non-payment, legal risk, or material breach. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court. Disputes should first be discussed in good faith for 30 days.
